Amanda - Bridal Beauty

It was such an honour to work with the gorgeous Amanda. For Amanda, I gave her a soft and feminine look with lots of pink colour throughout. I kept the colour schematic very basic because I did not want it to overpower her natural beauty. I hope to work with more beautiful brides like Amanda.

Our First Bride-To-Be, Kari

Kari is a dear friend of mine who allowed me to work on her beautiful face to create this romantic, feminine look.
Kari has medium toned skin with neutral to warm undertones and has normal to combination skin.
To accentuate Kari's natural features, I chose a medium coverage foundation in a Beige/Sand Colour as a base.
I will try not to giveaway too many tips but I stayed neutral with Kari's lid colour and rather made her lips the focus using a very popular pink colour from a very popular cosmetic line. Can you guess what it is? Here are some before and afters.

Down-to-Earth Beauty turned Sophisticated Bride: Liz

More often than not, you will find alot of brides-to-be aren't the type to wear alot of makeup, ever, really. So it can be challenging to create a look that isn't too over the top.
Here is our subject, Liz. Liz is a dear friend of mine and has some striking features, she reminds of 1940s or 50s starlet with her dark hair and fair complexion.
I wanted to channel some of that old hollywood glam but something told me that red lips and winged liner weren't going to be easily pulled off, so I opted for this simple look.
The flower helped in conveying the classic look I was going for.

Dearest Dawn: Daylight’s first appearance

Dawn, like the time of day was extremely eager in making her first appearance… as a bride-to-be.
She was curious to see what marvellous things I could do for her on her big day. The great thing about Dawn is she has great angular features making my job quite easy.
I wanted to keep her look simplistic, leaving her natural features an opportunity to shine and so I stayed quite neutral with her colouring overall.
I knew Dawn would have a big day ahead of her so I made sure her makeup would last from Dawn ‘till Dusk.

Andrea: Natural Beauty

Andrea was a breeze to work with because she knew exactly what she wanted.
Andrea had a great complexion which allowed me to go quite sheer with her foundation and she said it felt great on her skin.
Her fiancé, who was present at the time made me quite aware of the fact that he preferred his bride to look natural on the day of their wedding.
I was quite successful in fulfilling both parties’ request because Andrea was already a natural beauty; I just made sure to enhance that beauty with my natural skills.

Laurien: Yours, Bluely

At first, I was quite intimidated at the thought of working with Laurien because of her ‘celebrity status’, in some circles.
Laurien actually turned out to be quite pleasant to work with.
I looked to her steel blue tresses for inspiration and gave her a young and playful look with just the tiniest pop of colour.
She was pleased with what I had conjured up and was not feeling blue at all.
